3-dimensional carved figure in standing position, representing Katsina Father, a Hopi elder or priest who accompanies the various Hemis Katsinam during the Niman ceremony; He is shirtless and barefoot and wears only a carved and painted white embroidered dance kilt and painted turquoise and shell necklace; His long black hair hangs down his back and a single feather is tied to the top of his head; He carries a small buckskin pouch in his left hand. |
