Description |
Large transitional rug woven entirely in plain tapestry weave over foundation of hand spun gray wool warps; Design consists of a double 4-armed "E" motif in center, flanked at either end by large open spider woman cross and pair of multi-armed "T" motifs; All design elements are a deep olive green color on plain red background; Border around all four sides is set in from rug's edge and shows continuous band of small red squares on deep olive green background; Traces of supplemental red yarn tassels remain on all corners. |
