Description Oval, bird-shaped effigy jar with rounded base, rounded sides that curve inward toward rim, and hollow cylindrical neck that extends out from upper side and above rim, terminating in bird-shaped head with modeled eyes and flat top; 2 pair of perforated holes just below rim allow jar to be suspended; Interior and exterior surfaces are scraped smooth; Exterior is coated with white slip; Painted design on exterior includes band of contiguous black triangles around rim, 2 bands of contiguous black parallelograms around shoulder, and narrow line with pendant dots above and below around midsection; Bird's head and neck are decorated with similar design bands.

Description Mesa Verde black-on-white jar with rounded base, globose body, and short straight neck; Wide, flat handle with constricted ends is attached just below rim and at midlevel of shoulder; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth and exterior is coated with white slip; Exterior of handle and band around neck both show pairs of opposed, terraced triangles; Wider band extending from upper shoulder to lower body shows 7 congruous spiral motifs that include interlocking solid and fine-line hachured elements; Wide black line outlines irregular lower edge of band; Wide black band with ceremonial break separates upper and lower bands; Series of black dots outline lip. Original CAS catalog card for this pitcher identifies it as a Tularosa Black-on-white example.

Description Kana-a black-on-white jar with rounded base, spherical body and inward curving rim; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth and exterior is slipped white; Pair of perforated lug handles are attached high on exterior sides opposite each other; Two design bands encircle exterior of jar, the first one encircling the rim above the lug handles and containing a negative zigzag line; Second design band extends from just below lug handles to slightly below midlevel height and is divided into 4 panels, two of which contain solid black triangles and open, concentric squares, while the other two contain series of parallel zigzag lines flanked by diagonal columns of solid black triangles.
