Description 3-dimensional carved figurine in standing position, representing Monongya (Lizard Katsina), who appears in several different forms; Figure's torso is orange with yellow shoulders, forearms, and legs and he wears a carved and painted white kilt with dance sash and black breechclout, orange moccasins, blue armbands, and multi-strand necklace; Case mask has orange tab ears and yellow projecting snout, and green neck ruff; Back of mask is white with multi-colored dots; Front of mask is brown with yellow terraced triangle around snout, orange and blue band along top, and painted bundle of green yucca leaves or corn husks tied to forehead; 2 pairs of black feathers tied to top of mask; Almost certainly carved by same carver as CAS 0370-0847.

Description 3-dimensional carved figurine in standing position, representing Sipikne, the Hopi version of the Zuni katsina, Salimopaiyaka; Figure's upper torso is painted a pinkish flesh tone with yellow shoulders and forearms and he wears red moccasins, a carved and painted dance kilt, and a bandolier sash; His black case mask has a sun symbol on each side, a long multi-colored tubular mouth, red bar across eyes, and a multi-colored parrot's head on top; The neck ruff is made from black crepe paper and several small gray feathers are tied to back of mask; When this katsina appears at Hopi, he dances with very rapid movements so that only younger men usually impersonate him, as older men cannot easily maintain the pace of his movements.

Description 3-dimensional carving of a Hopi woman who belongs to the Maraw Society, the most important of three women's society among the Hopi, all of which conduct major ceremonies in the autumn, after the katsina season, to insure adequate rainfall, the ripening of the corn, and the fertility of women, among other things; Figure is shown standing and holding pair of flat prayer sticks (marauvaho); Unmasked figure is dressed in carved and painted traditional woven black dress with sash belt at waist and a woven white manta with embroidered border around her shoulders; Her hair is braided; In each of her stylized upraised arms she holds a flat, wooden dance wand painted with a corn and a cloud symbol; Arms are carved separately (right arm is 2 pieces) and are nailed to body; Figure's truncated legs are mounted on flat board that is painted black.
