Description Small round jar or cup with flat base, rounded body, and short but wide neck with straight sides and straight rim; Single loop handle in the form of an indeterminate animal (possibly a horned goat) is attached vertically just below rim and at shoulder Animal’s head is turned 1800 and extends above rim; Series of low vertical ridges decorate lower half of jar and pair of parallel shallowly incised lines encircle jar at base of neck, forming a slight ridge between them; Interior and exterior surfaces are scraped very smooth; Entire exterior and interior of rim are coated with a reddish brown slip.

Description Small round wheel-thrown jar with flat base and globose body, whose sides reach their maximum diameter at mid-level height before tapering inward and then rise to form a short but wide neck with flaring rim and rounded lip; Two effigy handles in the form of busts of indeterminate horned animals (possibly goats) are mounted opposite each other facing outward, with their horns attached to the jar’s rim and the base of their necks attached to the jar’s shoulder; One of the handles extends slightly above the jar’s rim; Interior and exterior of jar are scraped smooth and entire exterior (including base) and interior of neck are coated with a brick-red slip; Faint trace of a zigzag line burnished into the red slip encircles the jar’s neck on the exterior; Small diameter perforation (probably for attaching a carrying strap of some kind) extends vertically through each of the handles, from the top of the animal’s head to the underside of its face.

Description Small round wheel-thrown jar with flat-bottomed, short pedestal base, flaring lower sides; Midlevel height shoulder and second high shoulder, and wide mouth with everted rim; Interior and exterior are scraped very smooth; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth and probably coated with a buff-colored slip; Designs are painted in brown and consist of two decorative bands, one encircling each shoulder area; Lower band is divided into 6 panels with alternating geometric and bird motifs; Upper band is divided into 3 panels with the end of each panel anchored by a right triangle with tick marks along the diagonal side of the triangle and along the bottom edge of the entire panel; Each panel contains a pair of star motifs; Lip of jar is also painted brown; Overall design is very similar to CAS 0389-0040.

Description Pitcher with globular lower body on short footed base, low shoulder, and tall narrow straight neck with straight rim; Single flattened coil handle is attached just below rim, then extends out and slightly upward before dropping straight to shoulder; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth, and with exception of underbody and base, entire vessel is glazed turquoise blue, then over-painted in black; Designs are divided into three encircling panels, the first of which is on the underbody and shows a single wide line just below the shoulder with heavy parallel lines hanging pendant from it and extending just to the top of the pedestal base; Second panel is very wide, extending from the shoulder up to the mid-level height of the neck, and is divided into 4 narrow panels filled with identical design (possibly a script), alternating with 4 wider panels that are filled with an identical geometric motif; Third panel encircles the upper portion of the neck and again repeats what could be a script; Single solid line extends down outside length of handle.

Description Deep round, wheel-thrown bowl with short footed base and rounded, flaring sides that rise to a straight outward-curving rim with a broad, flattened lip; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth and, with the exception of the exterior base, are coated with a turquoise blue glaze; Exterior is overpainted with black or dark blue; Designs on interior are arranged in two encircling bands, the first of which extends around the upper sides and consists of pairs of narrow vertical lines that attach to upper and lower framing lines of the same width and color; Traces of a second band in the interior center of the bowl show at least one arrow and possibly other straight lines that are pendant from an upper framing line and point toward the center; Surface of glaze has deteriorated, especially on bowl’s interior, becoming iridescent and almost completely masking the underlying design.

Description Round wheel-thrown bowl on short footed base with rounded, flaring sides that rise to a straight rim with rounded lip; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth and a pronounced depressed band encircles the exterior bowl at mid-level height; Design on interior consists of encircling band on upper sides, along which a continuous scroll motif has been lightly incised and the background spaces hachured; An incised circle in the center of the bowl has been marked with series of lines that radiate out from center like spokes of a wheel; Designs were either carved first and then covered with a glaze that fired to an off-white color, or the glaze was applied first and then the designs were rendered in a sgraffito technique; Rim of bowl is coated with glaze that fired to dark green. Description Large shallow round wheel-thrown bowl with short footed base and rounded flaring sides that rise to a flattened everted rim with rounded lip; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth; Exterior is covered with dark blue glaze; Interior is covered with a white glaze and the painted designs are painted as negative images and appear in white outlined in brick-red against a mustard yellow background; Kneeling figure of woman (?) is pictured in center, wearing a polka-dotted robe and billowing head scarf; Encircling her along the sides of the bowl is a wide band of scroll-like motifs that is repeated over and over within 12 smaller panels; Framing band around rim of bowl repeats a single geometric motif, possibly an Arabic script.

Description Large shallow wheel-thrown bowl with short footed base and flaring sides that rise to a broad everted rim with rounded lip; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth and then probably coated with a white slip; Designs are painted in several shades of blue and green; Interior of bowl shows circular area in center filled with various motifs, which are mostly obliterated except for a single leafy plant stem; Around the sides of the bowl are 6 men, seated with their legs crossed and dressed in blue robes and short peaked hats; Most of them are posed with their hands held out to their sides; A decorative band filled with what appears script writing encircles the bowl’s rim; Exterior of bowl is painted with 10 green leafy plant fronds, alternating with pairs of dark blue vertical lines; Interior and exterior of bowl, with exception of footed base, are coated with thick glass-like glaze, whose surface has deteriorated to such an extent and become iridescent that much of the design is now obliterated.
