Description Concho belt comprising 10 identical oval conchos and separate oval belt buckle, all done in overlay technique in copper; Design on each concho consists of pair of parrot wing motifs; Same motif is repeated on buckle but in opposite rotation; Copper bar for mounting on leather belt is soldered to back of each concho and to buckle; Conchos are unsigned, but buckle is hallmarked with sun symbol (Hopi Silvercraft Guild) and with eagle (Thomas Humiyestewa); Both hallmarks are die-stamped on separate plates that are soldered to back of buckle; Conchos and buckle are strung on narrow leather belt of yellow-brown color.

Description A: Carving fork consisting of commercially made stainless steel 2-tine fork attached to hand forged, hollow ware sterling silver handle; Overlay design on handle consists of 2 rows of triangles along median line; Handle is round in cross section at junction with fork, but curves upward slightly and expands in size and gradually becomes 3-sided before tapering to point; Unsigned by artist; B: Carving knife consisting of commercially made stainless steel blade attached to hand forged, sterling silver hollow ware handle; Overlay design on handle consists of 2 rows of triangles along median line; Handle is round in cross section at junction with blade, then curves down slightly and expands in size and gradually becomes 3-sided before tapering at end; Unsigned by artist; C: Stand for fork (CAS 0370-0004A) and knife (CAS 0370-0004B), consisting of asymmetrical hollow box (without bottom) that is higher and wider at one end; Attached to opposite corners of central portion are smaller boxes, one with single deep cross-cut notch to support knife and one with 2 cutout holes to support fork; Overlay design consists of double row of triangles along median line; Hallmark "KB" (Kenneth Begay) is stamped on interior.

Description Woman's concho belt comprising 11 hammered oval conchos with a band of crescent shapes stamped around perimeter of each concho; A twelfth concho approximately twice as large as the others and with a rectangular cutout in its center serves as the belt buckle; Flat silver loop soldered onto reverse of each concho allows for stringing them onto leather belt; Hallmark "SR" (Sam Roanhorse) is stamped on reverse of belt buckle; Individual conchas are unsigned; Conchos and buckle are strung on black leather belt. Sam Roanhorse was the younger brother of Ambrose Roanhorse, an important Navajo silversmith whose work is also represented in the Elkus Collection.

Description Belt comprising 7 large oval conchos with scalloped edges; Domed center of each concho is stamped with central oval, encircled by cold chisel straight lines radiating outward and by concentric die-stamped bands (including semicircles, serrated lines, and crescents) and a band of punctate holes; Flat copper loop on reverse of each concho for attaching to belt; Rectangular buckle with cutout center is done in repoussé technique and decorated with pair of leaf shapes along top and bottom, stamped design along edges, 3 ovals along ends, and stamped zigzag line along sides; Unsigned conchos and buckle are mounted on wide leather belt thst is cut from a single piece and secured from behind with 2nd narrower belt.

Description Wrist guard comprising rectangular silver plate that is convex in cross-section and with center design of row of 5 elongated, pointed ovals whose centers are pushed out in repoussé technique and then stamped along edges with rope-like design and at each end with open, sunburst design; Edges of panel are stamped with line of crescent shapes along short ends and line of negative circles along long sides; 4 copper loops soldered on reverse provide attachment to leather backing with small leather pegs; Leather backing wraps around wearer's wrist and is secured by short leather laces.

John Adair identified this as a modern copy (1930s-1940s) of an old style design from the 1890s.
