Description Two-dimensional, low relief whale bone carving in the form of a wall hanging mask; Depicted is an oval-shaped human face, with carved lozenge-shaped eye sockets, elongated nose, open mouth, and high cheek bones; Elongated oval-shaped pieces of white bone (?) with black painted eyes are inserted into eye sockets; Two small pieces of white bone (?) representing 6 teeth are inserted into the upper side of the mouth and 3 separate pieces of white bone (?), each depicting a single tooth, are inserted into the lower side of the mouth; Small hole is cut through top of mask to allow for hanging it for display.

Description Two-dimensional, low relief whale bone carving in the form of a wall hanging mask, depicting a human face that is generally round but with a triangular chin; Prominent nose and open, angled mouth are carved in relief, while almond-shaped eye sockets are counter-sunk; Narrow diameter hole is carved in each eye socket to represent eyes, extending all the way through to the reverse side of the carving; Pair of holes at bottom of nose to represent nostrils also extend all the way through carving; Third pair of side-by-side holes is drilled through top of mask to facilitate hanging it for display.

Description Two dimensional, high relief whale bone carving in the form of a wall hanging mask, depicting a very round human face with narrow but prominent nose, high rounded cheekbones, and a very small mouth; Narrow slit eyes have been drilled out completely from front of carving to the reverse side; Several side-by-side holes have been similarly drilled all the way through to represent the mouth; Pair of side-by-side holes have been partially drilled into bottom of nose to represent the nostrils, and a final pair of holes has been drilled through the top of the mask to facilitate hanging it for display; Short loop of tanned skin has threaded through the later pair of holes.

Description Two dimensional, high relief whale bone carving in the form of a wall hanging mask, depicting a round human face with an extremely wide, upturned nose with very flared nostrils and a wide but narrow slit for a mouth; Cutout eye sockets are inset with round bone or antler disks which have been painted with black downcast eyes; Two pieces of bone or antler that are partially cut to replicate 5 teeth have been inset and glued into the mouth; Pair of round ivory or bone disks are inset into chin to represent traditional labrets worn by Inupiak people; Pair of small round side-by-side holes have been drilled through top of ask at downward angle, extending all the way through to reverse side, and commercially tanned rawhide strip is threaded through them, for hanging the mask for display.
