Description Walking stick made from relatively straight stick that has been cut off at both ends and stripped of its bark; Both ends have been minimally sanded to remove rough edges and the entire shaft has been dyed black; According to original field notes, this stick is used by a ritual elder in certain ceremonies; According to William Torry, this walking stick is very special, a valuable part of the collection, and its importance is not in how it is used, but what it is used for or in what types of ceremonies it is used.
