Description Round flat tray with very low vertical sides, woven entirely in coiled technique; Weft material is cedar roots and warp material is cedar splints; At two points opposite each other, the coils forming the sides are curved upward above the succeeding coil to form small carrying handles; Design is woven in imbrication technique using natural reddish brown and dyed black cherry back and sun-bleached reed leaves; Design on interior base consists of an open terraced four-point star; Design around interior sides consists of small terraced pendant triangles in natural and dyed cherry bark; Final rim coil (except for handles) was originally overlaid with reddish brown cherry bark.
