Description 3-dimensional carved figurine is in standing position, representing Koyemsi (Mudhead), who is a multi-faceted clown figure introduced from Zuni and who appears at nearly every Hopi dance, either as part of a group or as an individual drummer; Figure's entire body is painted rust brown except for circular area on chest and back and wide band on lower arms which are black with white dots; He wears black kilt, black leggings, brown moccasins, and black kerchief around his neck; Rust brown sack mask is gathered into knots on sides, front and back and into upright cone on top; Small feather tied to each knot; Face includes small bulging eyes and short rounded beak-like mouth; Neck ruff is made from multiple strands of white nylon string.
