Description |
3-dimensional carved figure in standing position, representing Eototo (Katsina Chief), who is the chief of all katsinam and knows all the ceremonies; He wears carved and painted white shirt and kilt with dance sash, white knitted leggings, red moccasins, white muslin cloth one-shoulder shirt, and black yarn bandolier and wristlet; His white case mask has yellow neck ruff and is decorated on top with crown of small, trimmed feathers; Round black eyes and mouth are painted; He carries small muslin cloth bag and ceremonial stick in left hand. |
