Description 3-dimensional carved figure in standing position, representing Chaveyo (The Giant Katsina) who appears in spring to discipline children who are misbehaving, or adults who are not performing their duties; Figure's body is brown except for oval area on chest, back, and upper thighs, forearms, and forelegs, all of which are black with white dots; He wears white cloth loincloth and breechclout, leather cape and armbands, black yarn garters and wristlets, and carved and painted brown moccasins; Black case mask has red tab ears, pop-out black and white eyes, wide snout with interlocked teeth, and black and white cloth neck ruff; White crescent moons are painted on front back, cheeks, and snout of mask; Figure carries long tin knife in left hand and tin saw in right hand (saw is now detached); Crossed feathers tied to top of mask and single feather stuck through each tab ear.
