Description |
3-dimensional carved figure in standing position, representing Hahai-i Wuhti (Pour Water Woman) who is also considered a mother to all the katsinam and she appears at several important ceremonies; Short figure is dressed in carved and painted black dress, sash belt, white maiden's shawl, and white moccasins; Her white face is painted with red dot on each cheek and row of red lines falling over forehead; Traditional hair whorls of unmarried girl are fashioned at sides of head from brown wool. |
