Description 3-dimensional carved figure in standing position, representing Palhik' Mana (Water Drinking Girl), who is a woman's dance personage (not a katsina) who appears in the Mamzrau Initiation Dance; She wears a carved and painted woven black dress with red sash belt, a white maiden's shawl, and white moccasins; As a doll this figure appears masked, but in a dance she is actually unmasked; Her face is painted white and a rainbow band covers her chin beneath a red arch over her nose and red hachured triangular area on each cheek; She wears a simulated corn husk roll on her forehead; Elaborate multi-terraced tableta is painted on front and back with corn, lightning, and cloud images and is decorated with down feathers around the edges; Mixed feather bundle on back of mask.
