Description 3-dimensional carved figurine in standing position, representing Mongwu (Great Horned Owl Katsina), who is a warrior and disciplines the clowns if their behavior becomes too outrageous; Figure upper body is pale orange and he wears carved and painted blue pants, leather and silver concho belt, brown moccasins, dance sash at right side, white blanket or shawl, turtle shell rattle on right leg, and turquoise necklace; Case mask is also pale orange and painted all over with white, black, and muddy yellow feather pattern; Round eyes and down-turned beak are yellow and black; Several feathers are attached to each side of mask; Figure holds green pipe cleaner in each hand, probably representing yucca whips for disciplining the clowns.
