Description | Deep round basket with wide flat base and slight rounded sides rising to a wide, inward sloping shoulder; Corresponding round lid is nearly flat and has short lip on interior; Basket and lid are woven in coiled technique over bundle foundation; Warp material is rye grass stems and weft material is rye grass leaves; Designs are woven of pink or red cotton string and consist of 5 dashed lines that radiate like spokes from the center on the base and continue vertically up the sides to the rim. | |
