Description | Deep round basket with flat base and vertical sides, woven entirely in closed plain weaving except for single row of 3-strand twining in middle of base and two additional rows near rim; Warp and weft material is rye grass stems; Designs located just below rim (between rows of 3-strand twining) are woven of worsted wool yarns in false embroidery technique and consist of regularly spaced groups of 3 pair of red and blue dots. | |
