Description Small round basket with flat base deep vertical sides that are slightly flared on the lower half; Basket is woven in coiled technique; Warp material is cedar splints and weft material is cedar roots; Designs on exterior are woven in imbrication technique, using black dyed cherry bark, and consists of 4 large contiguous diamond-shaped motifs (each composed of series of nested U-shapes); Surrounding areas on exterior sides are also woven in imbrication technique, using dyed yellow bear grass leaves to form solid panels; Leather lace partially encircles rim in continuous running stitch.
