Description Deep round berry gathering basket with flat base and deep gently curving sides that rise vertically to a wide mouth; Basket is woven in coiled technique over bundle coils; Warp material is cedar splints and weft material is cedar roots; Design on exterior sides is woven in imbrication technique using bear grass leaves and black dyed cherry bark; Extant traces of design indicate closely spaced vertical columns of light-colored bear grass on background of black dyed cherry bark and single encircling band of bear grass just below rim; Series of small holes around rim suggest original presence of leather (?) carrying loops.
