Description Baby carrier with flat spatulate back with double layer of warp rods woven together in diagonal twining technique in pattern of vertical zigzags; Sun shade and supporting arch are also woven in spaced, diagonal twining with parallel bands and zigzag designs; Narrow warp-faced sash woven of black, lavender, and lime green yarn is crisscrossed through buckskin lace loops along lateral sides of cradleboard; Zigzag designs indicate this cradleboard was made for female baby; This type of carrier would be the second of several cradles used by a baby, this one being of sturdier construction than the first and woven with a full protective hood and gender-specific designs.
