Description Pair of miniature and non-traditional kokeshi dolls (male and female) with movable heads, each doll carved from a single piece of wood with a barrel-shaped torso and a large round head; All facial features and clothing are painted; A: female dressed in an undergarment of kasuri (ikat-dyed blue and white cotton) and a red kimono with numerous floral motifs; Her hair is cut short at the neck with short bangs on the front, and she wears a black and red pillbox hat; B: Male dressed in an undergarment of kasuri (ikat-dyed black and white cotton) and a black or blue kimono with floral motifs; His hair is cut short in a bowl-shaped style.
