Description |
Papier mâché female doll in a standing position, wearing a red kimono and a black obi: Hakota is a regional word to describe a naive country girl, and according to tradition, this type of doll expresses the charm and modesty of girls from Kurayoshi; This type of doll also resembles a kokeshi doll in form; A red kimono is also representative of a servant girl; Artist’s name(?) is written in Japanese script on back of figurine.
