Description Papier mâché figurine depicting man and woman under an umbrella; Scene tells story of Junshin, a Buddhist monk, who fell in love with a woman named Ouma; The couple was forced to meet at night; Thus Junshin is hiding behind a head scarf and carries a lantern; Ouma's obi is undone, indicating the erotic nature of their relationship; Junshin wears a black and gray kimono; Ouma wears a red kimono; Figures are mounted on a wooden base that is unpainted, except the front edge, which is painted red.
