Description Square papier mâché wall plaque with raised sides; Design divided into four yellow circles, each depicting a different scene; Upper left circle contains a blue mountain; Upper right has a boy kneeling, playing a game; Lower left has a girl kicking a ball; Lower right has a thatch-roofed house; Large flowers painted between the four circles; Sides have figure eight and linear design; All designs outlined in black and filled with blue, yellow and red; Maker’s chop in lower left corner; Back is painted dark brown; Two strips of rice paper are glued to back, both are stamped with Japanese characters; Upper strip of rice paper secures a piece of blue hanging string.
