Description Square papier mâché wall plaque with raised sides; Painted scene of woman tending to a kitchen fire, outlined in black, with blue, red and yellow details; Sides have black outlined linear design filled in with alternating blue and yellow; Maker’s chop in lower right corner; Back is painted dark brown; Two strips of rice paper are glued to back, both are stamped with Japanese characters; Upper strip of rice paper secures a piece of blue hanging string.
