Description | Large round and deep basket with rounded base and widely flaring sides, woven in coiled technique over bundle foundation; Warp material is split cattail stems and the primary weft material is peeled and split willow shoots; Designs are woven of black devil's claw pods and consist of large solid black circular area over entire base, with two parallel rectilinear zigzag lines forming a Greek-key or Greek-fret pattern around sides; Final rim coil is woven entirely of black devil's claw. | |
