Description |
Pair of small rectangular cast iron temple bells (A and C) whose tops are slightly smaller than their bases; One bell is slightly larger than the other; Exterior sides are all decorated with series of incised vertical lines; Small iron clapper is suspended inside each bell from length of green cotton string, which extends upward through top of bell for hanging it, and also below bell for securing to handmade rectangular paper streamers (B and D; not attached) that are hand printed with blue indigo repeating geometric patterns on both faces and perforated at one end; Exterior finish is rust brown in color. |
