Description Single strand beaded necklace with beaded pendant in form of a ruby-throated hummingbird with braided bear grass tail feathers; Bird’s body is made from a soft form (probably cloth) and completely covered with small seed beads (iridescent green on its back, edged in iridescent turquoise blue along top of head and sides, with a white breast and red throat patch, and black face, beak and tail); The outstretched banded wings are of iridescent green, iridescent turquoise blue, black, silver, and white seed beads, with a larger faceted deep red bead at the tip of each wing “feather”; 11 tail “feathers” of varying length are represented by segments of braided bear grass, each ending with a small red seed bead and a larger faceted yellow bead, and a tiny iridescent green seed bead; Each outstretched wing is suspended from an additional bear grass braid with a large red faceted bead at each end, which in turn are fastened to a continuous single strand of small black seed beads.
