Description Pair of small lacquered papier mache figurines, each made in molds in two pieces and then assembled; Figurines depict the Emperor and Empress, both shown in seated positions; The Empress wears a pale yellow robe with floral motifs on the sleeves and her hair is tied in a bun atop her head; The Emperor is dressed in a rose-colored robe with blue motifs and a flat-topped white hat on his head; Both figures are signed by their respective artists on the reverse in gold lettering.
