Description | Jar-shaped water bottle with flat base, rounded sides, and high rounded shoulder that tapers to a tall wide neck with slightly flared rim; Basket is woven in plain diagonal twining technique; Warp and weft materials are probably sumac shoots; Two V-shaped wooden handles are attached to upper sides in close proximity, rather than directly opposite, to each other; Interior and exterior (including wooden handles) are heavily coated with brown piñon pine pitch; Trace of black line is evident around mid-section of basket, possibly applied with paint. | |
