Whistle consisting of a lacquered paper mache head of a woman with white face and black hair pulled back and piled atop her head mounted on the end of a short hollow bamboo rod which has been notched and fitted inside with another small piece of bamboo to serve as the reed or plug, to produce a piercing sound when air is blown into it from the end. |
