Description Lithograph entitled “American Warrior,” printed on paper; Abstract figure of standing Indian warrior dressed in green, red, and black is shown holding a red shield and green bow (?) and wearing buffalo horns on his head; In background is large white silhouette of buffalo skull with touches of green and red ink, all against a pale purple background; Numbered “21/100” in lower left corner and signed “Scholder” in lower right corner; Embossed chop marks of Tamarind Institute and the printer appear in the lower left corner and in the center of the bottom edge, both more easily seen on the reverse.
