Description Medium sized round basket with flat base, steep rounded sides that flare outward to mid-level height, then taper in gradually toward neck and flare out again toward rim; Basket is woven in open-spaced coiling technique, using peeled willow or sumac shoots over bundle foundation of whole and split willow or sumac shoots; Rim finish is tapered coil; Interior and exterior covered with heavy coated of piñon pine pitch.
