Description Rectangular rug woven entirely in plain weft-faced tapestry technique with non-interlocking joins; Pictorial design depicts a typical Navajo family scene, showing nine sheep grazing in the foreground, while a man leads his horse from the left In front of an unhitched wagon) toward a woman, seated in the center, who is preparing frybread over a campfire; Behind her is a hogan, and to the right of her is another woman and child and another woman seated in front of a rug on a loom; Two cows and two horses graze in the background, and in the more distant background are rust colored buttes against a blue sky with white clouds; A narrow red inner border and a wider black outer border frame the rug along all four edges; Rug does not have selvage cords; End cords are white.
