Description Rectangular double saddle blanket woven entirely in plain weft-faced tapestry technique with non-interlocking joins; Borderless and banded design consists of alternating plain and decorative horizontal bands; At each end is a band that includes two black and brown feather motifs; Next band is a composite band of three narrower bands (two are alternating black and brown, while the third one is alternating gray and yellow); This same composite band is also repeated across the blanket’s center; Remainder of blanket shows wide plain bands alternating with a narrower composite band (either black & gray or gray & yellow); The plain bands, as well as the background of the decorative end bands are actually woven with brown and white yarn, with each color passing over and under the same warps with each pass, yielding narrow vertical columns of each color; Rug does not have selvage cords; End cords are white.
