Description | Small round jar with flattened base, bulbous lower body whose sides slope inward as they rise to form a short constricted neck with flaring rim; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth, then the exterior is embellished with a modeled face of a pig with a projecting snout and two short tusks; Almond-shaped eyes are outlined in white, as are geometric shapes on the pig’s wide mouth and two crescent-shapes (ears?) just behind the eyes; This is a smaller version made for tourist sale, modeled after larger jars used to store sago palm flour. | |
