Description 3-dimensional carving of elongated head, with a flattened face with shallowly carved features; Entire face is covered with white earth pigments, and the eye sockets painted with pink pigment; Dark gray and pink line extends from corners of eyes across cheeks to nostrils, and another dark gray line extends from just below corners of eyes, continuing across cheeks and mouth; Top and back of head are painted dark gray and decorated with pink and white dots; Figure’s “neck” tapers to a sharp dagger-like point; Although this figure is carved 3-dimensionally, it is intended to be viewed 2-dimensionally, similar to yipwon carvings.
