Description | Hair comb made from a wide piece of bamboo cut from the side of a whole cane; Distal end has been cut with parallel longitudinal cuts to form 7 very long teeth; Dorsal side of comb on proximal end (above the teeth) is very shallowly carved with 4 columns of contiguous triangles, leaving the original surface in the form of two parallel columns of diamonds, which each contain a smaller, shallowly carved diamond outline; All carved away areas are stained black to dark brown. | |
