Description | Small jar-shaped water bottle with concave base, rounded body, and high rounded shoulder that tapers to a short slightly constricted neck with flaring rim; Basket is woven in plain diagonal twining with single row of 3-strand twining on lower side; Warp and weft materials is sumac shoots; Warp rods are bent over at rim and coil-wrapped; 2 V-shaped wooden handles are attached at shoulder in close proximity, rather than opposite, to each other; Carrying strap is of 2-ply commercial twine; Interior and exterior of basket and handles are covered with dark brown piñon pine pitch. | |
