Description Small ceramic Emperor and Empress figurines; The two figures are similarly dressed in gold outer robes with green and orange trim, decorated with a pattern of blue and pink or orange flowers although the colors and designs vary slightly; The Emperor wears a tall gold hat over his dark hair and is holding a white and gold staff, with a dark blue ribbon tied in a bow at his neck; The Empress wears a green undergarment and a gold hat or crown; She holds an open gold fan at her front, with long blue and yellow strings attached at either side; Both figurines are seated on a low, black wooden platform with multi-colored stripes along the front edge; A=Emperor; B=Empress; C=Stand; Sticker on bottom of each figure has kanji that read 不許模造 - 髙穂 - 登録商標 (fukyo mozou - kouho - touroku shouhyou: “imitations are not permitted - Kouho [a proper name, probably] - registered trademark”). *Non-Roman alphabet characters are not legible in the online listing. Japanese characters, such as those included here, appear as a series of question marks. Other scripts, such as Greek letters, may appear as Roman letters but be inaccurately transcribed.
