Description Oval hat with a wide flat brim; Woven in 3-rod coil technique; Warp material is peeled willow shoots and primary weft material is sedge roots; Design is woven of dyed bulrush roots and consists of terraced diamonds and whirling log motifs (swastikas) on crown, sides, and brim of hat; Rim of hat is decorated along edge with 78 clam shell disc beads strung on string and sewn periodically to the hat's final coiled bundle.
