Description | Round clear glass candy dish lid with domed knob handle in center, that is completely covered on exterior in basketry; Glass lid has interior lip and is embossed "PATENTED AUG. 28, 1900 OTHER PATENTS PENDING"; Basketry covering conforms exactly to exterior profile of glass lid and is woven in plain twining; Primary warp and weft material is rye grass stems; Designs are woven in false embroidery technique of worsted wool yarn and/or silk thread and consist of concentric circles in solid colors of blue, orange, maroon, white, yellow-green, brown, yellow, and green on the knob handle and around its base; Small pink, green, and white floral motif is repeated four times around shoulder of lid. | |
