Description | Cylindrical clear glass jar with flat base, high shoulder and short wide neck with everted rim that is entirely covered on exterior with woven basket; Basket is woven in plain twining technique, using rye grass stems as the primary warp and weft material; Warps are crossed on four rows on the base to produced decorative rows of open twining; Designs are woven in false embroidery technique using silk threads and consist of 2 small floral motifs (one blue with red center and one pink with green center) bordered above and below by encircling purple zigzag lines; Two short lengths of pink ribbon are tied around rim and their ends tied into small bows. | |
