Description | Deep but narrow rectangular basket with flat base and vertical sides; Warp material throughout basket is cedar bark slats; Base of basket is woven in simple plaiting technique, using cedar bark slats for both warp and weft; Sides of basket are woven in wrapped twining technique,using bear grass leaves as the weft; Designs on sides consist of alternating plain and colored (green, purple, blue and orange) bands; Traces of short carrying handle remain along one edge of rim. | |
