Description Single-edged knife blade made from flat piece of slate, chipped to general rectangular shape and ground smooth on both faces; Convex cutting edge is very thick but bifacially thinned and ground smooth, tapering from its widest point at proximal end to the distal end; Back edge of blade is relatively straight, squared off and ground very smooth; Rectangular notch cut at proximal end of cutting edge forms short, squared off stem for hafting; Color is dark brown.
