Description | Deep round basket with flat base and flaring sides, woven in coiled technique over bundle foundation; Warp material is split cattail stems and primary weft material is peeled and split willow shoots; Designs are woven of black devil's claw pods and include a solid black circular area in center of base; Large negative Greek fret design encircles the sides, with remaining space on the sides filled with large black triangles pendant from both the base and the rim; Final rim coil is woven entirely of black devil's claw in a false braid stitch. | |
