Materials Cedar (Cedrus sp.) strips; Cotton string
Description Flat rectangular bag with rectangular pouch and long fold-over flap, woven almost entirely in plain plaiting technique using cedar strips, except for several rows of twined cotton string along rim of pouch and along upper edge of flap; Design is limited to simple bands along edges, woven of dyed rust brown and black cedar strips; This bag was used to hold gambling sticks, and its long flap (3 times longer than the pouch) could be used as a playing surface when unfolded; Bags of this type were most commonly made of leather.
