Description Round basket with flat base, vertical sides, and recessed rim, with corresponding round, flat-topped lid with low sides that fit over the basket's rim; Warp material is cedar bark and weft material is bear grass leaves; Basket and lid are woven in wrapped twining technique; Single cedar bark slat encircles top of basket and forms recessed rim, over which the warps are bent and bound into the final row of twining; Designs are woven of dyed bear grass leaves and include dark blue star motif in center of base and dark blue band around perimeter of base, 3 narrow parallel bands (2 dark blue, 1 purple) around lower sides, dark blue zigzag band around mid-section of sides, small dark blue star and two dark blue concentric bands on top of lid, and 3 narrow parallel bands (2 dark blue and 1 purple) around sides of lid.
