Description | Incensario base, hollow with slightly flaring base rim; Outside surface is decorated with three sets of four vertical lines formed by pinching the clay before firing; At the top of the base, directly above a set of lines, is an applied design of two earspool-like circles touching each other and centered above a roundish protrusion with a vertical incision; This design has been broken off at the top where the bowl had been, but what remains resembles a face with earspool-like eyes and a bulbous nose; Bowl of vessel is completely missing; Unpainted. | |
