Description | Small effigy jar in the shape of a coati head; Face has a long nose defined above a long beak-like snout; The snout is hollow underneath, having been formed with a roll of clay; Almond-shaped eyes are highlighted by very round, thick brows which extend directly from the nose; Large human-like ears frame the face and are adorned with disc earspools; A second pair of ears sits above the human-like ears; The second ears are lightly pointed, canine-like; Between the canine-like ears and above the brow are incised cross-hatching which does not extend up the neck of the jar; Brown. | |
